90% Children Wear Bad Shoes
According to a Belgian study with 119 Flemish children more than 90% of children wear the wrong footwear.
Shoe sellers usually allow children to sit down when they measure the children's feet. This gives a calculation error because the standing foot is quickly an third of an inch wider and longer. Moreover, the growth between the left and right foot is different, so you should always measure both feet to get a realistic picture. Since this almost never happens in reality, 94% of the children are walking around with a wrong length fit and 92% of the children with an incorrect width fit.
