Multitasking does not exist
Women are experts at multitasking, she can cook, wash and clean at the same time. Right? A recent study of 32 people, however, claims the opposite. We can only complete 2 tasks at the same time.
When we have to accomplish one task, we use our utmost concentration. When a second task is added the brain switches between the two and will make sure that both missions are completed successfully. The advent of a third task does inevitably produce errors.
"Our brain cannot handle more than two different tasks. Moreover, we know of ourselves that we can not handle more than two things at the same time. If we must choose between a number of different tasks to complete, we will always instinctively choose two." decide the researchers.
