Hair Color, Nail Polish Cause Liver Disease?

Coloring Hair or Nail Polish Cause Liver Disease

Women who regularly color their hair and varnish or polish their nails could harm their liver health by doing so. That's what British researchers say after a study done with 5,000 women.

When women color their hair or their varnish their nails a chemical dust is released that eventually may lead to primary biliary cirrhosis. This early form of liver cirrhosis is an autoimmune disease that normally can be caused only by a particular genetic predisposition, a smoking addiction, or a  skin disease.
According to the researchers the chance of getting the disease is as much as 37% higher with women who color their hair than women with 'natural' hair.
