According to the Belgian chocolate manufacturer Côte d'Or an experiment revealed that chocolate is tastier when you taste it with multiple senses. All test persons were given a headset with ambient music. The listeners were then to taste the chocolate with their eyes closed. "The music cuts you off from your other stimuli so you can enjoy the chocolate in a much more intense way," explains the Dutch psychologist Rob Wijsbek. After the experiment nearly all women admitted far more tasting experience.
According to the Côte d'Or chocolates producer, you should learn to eat (taste) chocolate like one learns to drink wine. "The taste of chocolate is a multi-sensory experience. You must use all your senses to discover the real taste," says Jean Apostolou, chocolate expert from Côte d'Or.
