Higher Divorce Rate For Parents With Twins

Parents of twins separate faster, are quicker broke and are more often fired from work then other. This despite the fact that they usually start having children later than couples with only one baby. This shows a British study.
The research shows that couples who have twins are 17% more likely to divorce than other couples. The impact on the financial situation of the family is greater. Two thirds of families with twins say they are financially much worse off after the birth of their children. For parents with only one child per birth it is only 40%.
Another remarkable result from the survey is that most parents of twins already have a child. These are often parents who want a brother or sister for their only child. Most of these families wanted two children, but they became ultimately three.
