It is virtually impossible for women to combine a busy job with family life. Not because women are weaker beings, but because men often evade their responsibility. That's the conclusion of scientists at Cornell University.
Women are still responsible for the majority of household chores. As a result, they often have a full-time job in the household after their long, hard working day. Men on the contrary often come home from work to promptly plop down in the seat. This inequality in the family ensures that women can't cope any longer with the pressure and quit their busy job. Especially when man work more than 60 hours per week, chances are that the woman is (becomes) housewife.
On the other hand, this rule does not apply to men. Men rarely encounter problems with a hard-working spouse and will almost never give up their career in turn for their wives so that she can proceed with her work or job.
