Both men and women can suffer from a sex addiction. Usually it concerns people who come from a rather insensitive family, where attention was almost nonexistent. Moreover, 20% have been sexually abused.
Many are very successful, but do not know how to deal with this attention. They have a very low self-esteem, which only gets reinforced by their conduct. Most use sex than as an outlet for these feelings of unrest and to dispel ignorance.
Who thought that only men suffer from sex addiction, is thoroughly wrong. Women are addicted to sex as much as men. Moreover, female addicts seek help less, because often their husband or boyfriend is less stressed by the woman's sexual attitude.
